The FBC ME!   seminar will feature Brian Wright and Bill Wright of Town Planning &
Urban Design Collaborative in a 301-level discussion on how municipal   planners,
city and town attorneys, developers and other practitioners can use   form-based
codes to strengthen Maine   towns and cities.

This advanced level discussion will kick off with a presentation on form   based codes,
moving quickly from the basics to the nuances of coding in Maine.  Discussion   topics will include the
implications of adoption and administration of FBC under   state enabling rules,
the challenges of coding in rural areas, and how form-based codes   can be used as an economic
development tool. Participants will have an opportunity for several   robust question and
answer periods, with in-depth conversation that spans topics such   as coding across
multiple property lines, strategies for integrating   form-based standards into existing
codes, public process best practices, form-based codes as a   preservation tool, and more.
