North Branch Construction is the proud recipient ofthe 2017 Construction Industry Good Scout Award presented by the Daniel Webster Council division of the Boy Scouts of America. The Concord-based construction firm was honored with this meaningful award on May 23rd at a reception held at the Falls Event Center in Manchester, NH. The Good Scout Award honors construction-related companies and organizations for positively impacting their communities. Several factors are taken into consideration during the selection of each year’s honoree including reputation, willingness to support the mission of the Boy Scouts, and community involvement.

Matt Johnson of Devine Millimet Attorneys at Law presented Joseph Campbell, Vice President of North Branch Construction, with the award. In Campbell’s acceptance speech, he addressed the issue of workforce recruitment and getting youth involved in construction early on. “I was very excited,” said Campbell, “to learn that the Boy Scouts of America, Daniel Webster Council are in the early stages of developing a new Explorer Post program for the construction industry. These programs have been widely successful within numerous police and fire departments. What a great idea, to get the youth excited and involved in our industry. I certainly welcome the idea of hiring new employees who have the dedication and commitment necessary to have become Eagle Scouts.” All proceeds from the reception will go to benefit the Boy Scouts of America.
