On Thursday, June 11, in partnership with the NH Charitable Foundation, Plan NH announced and honored this year’s recipients of Scholarship or Fellowship Awards, the aggregate value of which exceeded $30,000.
Students must call New Hampshire home and may be studying in an accredited program related to our mission anywhere in the world.
The following are in this year’s “class”:
- Meredith Borgioli of Hollis, studying Landscape Design at NHTI
- Robert Dunn, of Henniker, studying Renewable Energy and Ecological Design at Green Mountain College
- Erik Onufer, of Kingston, studying Historical Preservation at Plymouth State
- Ian Tucker Peach, of New Boston, studying Landscape Architecture at Cornell
- Patricia Rosario, of Portsmouth, studying Architecture at the BAC
- Erik Shaw of Hooksett, studying Electromechanical Engineering at Wentworth
- David Swinyer, of Sunapee, studying Mechanical Engineering at Norwich University
- Lizzie Tague, of Greenland, studying Environmental Engineering at Northern Arizona State
- Billy Kitchens, of Concord, studying Civil Engineering at NHTI and UNH
- Steve Hebsch, of Candia, studying Architecture at the BAC
- Neil Orzechowski, of Newport, studying Electrical Engineering at Columbia
Out keynote speaker was Rebecca Perkins, an attorney who lives in New Hampshire and works for an international energy company. She is currently on the Board of the Workforce Housing Coalition of the Greater Seacoast, and is a founder of The 603 Initiative, a group of young professionals who love New Hampshire and believe deeply in civic engagement. She shared some insights about this as well as the notion of professionals as leaders in our work and communities.
