As you know, the built environment plays a critical role in the social, environmental, and economic aspects of our cities, towns and neighborhoods.  How has this been affected by the Coronavirus pandemic?

Plan NH will be hosting a 3-part series of virtual round tables that specifically address COVID’s  effects on our communities and the ties to the built environment.  We’re bringing together experts from Planning, Community and Economic Development, Architecture, Engineering, Construction,  and Housing to share their insights and thoughts, what they’ve learned, and what we should be thinking about as we acclimate to our new normal (temporary or otherwise).

Session One: Thursday June 11, 12 – 1:15 PM. What has the pandemic revealed about the built environment and its relation to economic development/the local economy?

We will hear from an economist, a community and economic development specialist, and an administrator of a small town.

Each will share what they have seen, in their own work, what the pandemic has revealed about the relationship between the built environment and economic and community vitality. Further, they will each share what they believe communities should think about going forward – for both the short-term and the longer term, within this lens.

This webinar is for municipal staff and leaders, business owners, as well the planners, designers, and builders who shape our New Hampshire places.
