What: Home, Sweet Home Part 4: Community Outreach and Engagement
Where: 84 Silk Farm Road, Concord
When: Wednesday, December 14th 8-10:30am
Cost:$40/$30 Plan NH members **BREAKFAST PROVIDED**
Join us for Session 4 of our “Home, Sweet Home” Series!
In workshops 1 – 3, attendees looked at different types of living units – as well as their benefits and challenges. In this this final session, we will be learning with Molly Donovan from UNH Cooperative Extension about how to engage your community in the public process, by using more methods than the traditional meeting notice.
Attendees will come away with:
- An understanding of the difference between compliance and making a difference
- An understanding of the importance of reaching out to those not usually part of processes like this
- An understanding of the importance of involving the community from the beginning
- An awareness that the work prior to those “public hearings” can be critical to success
Community citizens and leaders, planners, architects, project managers and others would benefit from this workshop.
Continuing ed credits pending.
