PORTSMOUTH, N.H. – Plan NH is now accepting applications for the Plan NH Annual Scholarship and Fellowship Program, calling on designers, artists, and future leaders of the built environment to apply by April 10, 2026. The program supports New Hampshire residents pursuing education in fields aligned with Plan NH’s mission to foster excellence in planning, design, and development.
The Plan NH Scholarship and Fellowship Program includes the Plan NH Fellowship Fund, the Alfred T. Granger Student Art Trust Fund, and the Paul and Ann Harvey Scholarship Fund for Manchester. Eligible fields of study include architecture, construction management, engineering, environmental studies, and related disciplines. In 2025 alone, Plan NH awarded $31,000 to 14 students from communities across the Granite State to support their educational paths.
“Every year, we’re inspired by the talent, passion, and sense of responsibility these students bring to their work,” said Tiffany Tononi McNamara, Executive Director of Plan NH. “We are proud to play a role in supporting the next generation of leaders who care deeply about New Hampshire’s communities and want to make a lasting impact.”
Plan NH has awarded scholarships since its founding in 1989 and has been honored to support countless students over the years. One recent scholarship recipient shared in a note to the Selection Committee, “This scholarship is more than just financial assistance; it is an affirmation of my goals and hard work. Your support has lightened the financial burden of my education and allows me to focus more on my studies and future aspirations.”
Several former scholarship recipients have gone on to build successful careers while continuing to give back to the organization. Current Plan NH Board Members Caroline Corriveau of Warrenstreet Architects and Steve Hebsch of Novo Studio Architects are past scholarship awardees who now serve on both the Plan NH Board of Directors and the Scholarship Committee, exemplifying the program’s lasting impact.
Plan NH’s Scholarship Committee is composed of professionals from across the community development field, many of whom are former recipients themselves. The committee administers the scholarship and fellowship funds through the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation’s (NHCF) online scholarship application platform. This universal application allows students to apply once to be considered for these and other scholarships offered through NHCF.
Applications must be submitted through the NHCF online portal by 5:00 PM on April 10, 2026. Questions regarding the application process can be directed to NHCF at studentdocs@nhcf.org.
Each year, scholarship recipients are recognized alongside the winners of the Plan NH Merit Awards of Excellence during the Plan NH Awards Evening, which will take place on June 18, 2026. More information about the Plan NH Scholarship and Fellowship Program is available on the Plan NH website. Individuals or industry firms interested in contributing to the Plan NH Fellowship Fund, or sponsoring the Plan NH Awards Evening, are encouraged to contact Plan NH at 603-452-7526 or info@plannh.org.
