Celebrating 30 Years of Community Impact Through Design Charrettes
Portsmouth, NH — In recognition of the countless partnerships forged through our Community Design Charrette Program, Plan NH is offering free membership to municipalities in 2026. Our long-standing Design Charrette Program has always centered around municipal collaboration, and offering free memberships is our way of giving back to the communities throughout the state.
“This is a great opportunity for communities to reengage with us or join for the first time,” said Amanda Savage, Chair of the Plan NH Membership Committee. “We hope every municipality will take advantage of this opportunity as we celebrate not only where we’ve been, but where we’re going together as a state.”
Free municipal membership gives communities access to:
- Discounted rates for select Plan NH events, networking opportunities, and educational trainings;
- Direct access to Plan NH resources, expertise, and our network of statewide partners;
- Online listing of your community showing municipality’s support of the Plan NH mission;
- Priority consideration for our Community Design Charrette Program, including connection to the volunteer design, planning, and development professionals who make this program possible.
Since 1996, Plan NH has partnered with municipalities through its flagship Community Design Charrette Program, bringing together professionals in planning, architecture, engineering, community development, and more to help municipalities envision vibrant, healthy, and resilient futures. Over three decades, these collaborative efforts have helped strengthen main streets, inspire new public spaces, improve walkability, preserve historic assets, and support thoughtful growth in communities of every size.
