After spending over 20 years working at architecture firms around the world, Anne Ketterer took a leap of faith and launched Novo Studio Architects in 2022 with the help of Steve Hebsch. With Anne’s innovative designs and Steve’s pension for detail, together they bring the client’s vision to life. Since then, Novo has had the privilege of designing a wide range of spaces including affordable housing, restaurants, healthcare, workspace environments, community spaces, and schools. At Novo, we find there is opportunity for beauty and good design in everything, at any budget.

Why did your firm join Plan NH?
" Novo Studio is proud to be a supporter of this wonderful organization, committing time and resources to its mission. We decided to join Plan NH due to our similarly aligned missions, as well as Steve Hebsch’s excitement and long-term involvement with the organization. Steve is a past Plan NH Scholarship recipient, has been involved with Plan NH Charrettes for 10 years, and presently sits on the Plan NH Board of Directors. "
What is your favorite NH-Based Activity?
" Enjoying the outdoors is always therapeutic and rewarding. NH residents are uniquely lucky to be an hour away from almost anything you could want to experience. "
When you think about the future of NH, what are you hoping to see?
" We are always advocating for our state’s success by being involved and volunteering in the communities that we serve. As New Hampshire continues to grow and change, we will always aim to involve ourselves in work that improves the quality of life and outcomes for all of our neighbors. Plan NH’s vision for Smart Growth is a pathway for our state to accommodate change while still maintaining our unique character. "
What is your favorite part of Plan NH?
" Whether their Fall Conference, Annual Awards Event, Networking Events or a community charrette, Plan NH always brings together amazing people. We are always excited to collaborate with passionate, volunteer-fueled organizations to give back to our state and its communities. So, if we had to pick a favorite, it would be the charrettes. Helping our neighbors explore and work through their challenges, while helping create thoughtful, informed solutions to improve their communities is very rewarding. Additionally, we always feel reinvigorated when we work alongside a diverse range of talented professionals. "
