EMD Millipore’s biomass central heat plant supplies steam for all heating and process needs of the Jaffrey site, eliminating the use of over 400,000 gallons of oil annually. The biomass central heat plant replaced 14 aging oil-fired boilers with a single biomass boiler and is expected to reduce emissions by more than 25 percent.
EMD Millipore is a leading supplier to the global Life Science industry: solutions and services for research, development and production of biotechnology and pharmaceutical drug therapies. The Jaffrey, NH site is one of their major local manufacturing plants.
